Title of show: The Only Way is Bermondsey

Type of show: Mockumentary

Purpose of show: The purpose of our show is to entertain the audience, mock the documentary format and make fun of teenagers. Teens think their life is dramatic and interesting but chances are they are a little overdramatic and maybe too exaggerated.

Synopsis: The show follows the ups and downs of teenage life in Bermondsey. We will follow the turbulent life of teenagers in a typical Bermondsey school; we follow the characters Freya, Jessica and Emily who are the normal ‘nerdy’ called kids. Then the chavy girl characters called Bobbi, Amie and Chesney. The chavy boy names are Reiss, Liam and Aiden. Come and join us as we follow the groups adventures around Bermondsey; schools days, nights out, parental arguments and friendship disputes abound The Mockumentary will show the comparisons of all the different types of characters. There’s never a dull day in the typical Bermondsey School.

Target audience: teenagers and students People who are the same age as those who are characters in the show.

Script.

ACT 1 – SCENE 1

 

FADE IN:

INT. BEDROOM. DAY

BOBBI(15) is getting ready for school in her foster home, when JAMIE (boy 16) walks in. Getting dressed into school uniform, about to put her school shirt on. Turns around in fear, when she hears her door creak open.)

JAMIE: (patronizing tone)

You sure that still fits you fatty’? (Laughs evilly)

BOBBI slightly backs away on to her bed, rubbing her stomach.

BOBBI: (voice shaking slightly)

Please Jamieee’, leave me alone you know you’re not allowed to be in ‘ere.

 JAIME Walks calmly over to BOBBI’S bed

JAMIE:

Listen ‘ere you little whore, I’ll leave when I wanna’ leave. Not when YOU tell me too

(JAMIE slaps BOBBI round the face hard enough that it leaves a mark, then he storms out of the room)

(BOBBI is left lying on her bed in tears for around 30 seconds, then she gets up and carry’s on getting dressed.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ACT 1 – SCENE 2

FADE IN:

INT. SCHOOL. DAY

 

MISS MORRIS (25) is welcoming BOBBI (15) to the school, and introduces Bobbi to AMY (16)

 MISS MORRIS Calls AMY over

 

AMY: (Smiling and Joking)

What’cha want miss

MISS MORRIS:

Well Amy, this is Bobbi.

 

BOBBI Smiles shyly at AMY, AMY smiles back.

 

MISS MORRIS: (Batt’s her eyelashes)

Well, if you don’t mind, seen as you two are in the same year, and Bobbi’s new, maybe you could show her around the school?

 

AMY: (a smile grows on her face)

Alright miss, I don’t mind. Just let me get my bag.

Amy runs to the back of the classroom & picks up her latest puals boutique bag.

 

AMY: (pats BOBBI lightly on the back, smiling.)

Come on the, we can go to the English department first if you want?

BOBBI: (Shyly smiles back at AMY)

Alight then.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ACT 1 – SCENE 3

FADE IN:

INT. PLAYROUD. DAY

 

Its break time at school, AMY (16) is sitting at the bench with BOBBI (15)

 

AMY: (Curiously aks)

So, Bobbi why did you leave your old school?

While taking a huge chomp form her favorite chocolate bar, galaxy chocolate bar

 

                   BOBBI: (stares at her stomach, and starts rubbing it, without noticing)

Treatment:  Act 1, 2 & 3

 

Act 1:

It’s the first day of school and Bobbi is new to Bermondsey Academy. Miss Morris gets a girl called Amie to show Bobbi around the school and explain how the things work there. Amie and Bobbi bond really well and decide to have lunch together.  All of a sudden Bobbi starts rubbing her belly, not noticing what she’s doing when Amie makes a joke about Bobbi’s stomach.  Bobbi doesn’t laugh and Amie realises that Bobbi really is pregnant; Amie has promises to keep this a secret. Unfortunately, Jay, a male student at HAB, overhears the conversation and spreads the news around the academy. He starts off by telling his girlfriend, Kelly, who then proceeds to tell the whole academy. Bobbi’s secret is out!

Act 2:

Neither of the girls know about the rumour spreading around the school.  While Bobbi and Amie are sitting outside in the playground on a bench talking about their summer, Kelly comes along and starts to call Bobbi names. This gets Bobbi really mad and angry, as Bobbi was kicked out of her last school for anger issues Kelly did not make a smart choice. Bobbi walks over and clenches her fist to punch Kelly, but Kelly stops her hand and pushes her to the ground. Bobbi lays on the ground screaming in pain while rubbing her belly.  Amie runs over to help her but there isn’t much that Amie can do, as she notices blood trickling from under Bobbi’s skirt.  Amie rushes to call an ambulance.

Act 3:

Bobbi gets in the ambulance worrying for her baby’s sake. Bobbi is lying in the hospital bed as Dr Jones tells Bobbi the devastating news about her baby. She starts to sob silently to herself as Amie comes into the room, hearing the bad news Amie hugs Bobbi & stays by her side.  A curious Amie asks about the father of the baby, Bobbi looks up and begins to tell her story as she feels that she can trust Amie. Bobbi talks about Tom, the abusive foster carer, who has abused and raped her since she was 11. In shock Amie cradles Bobbi tightly in her arms as Bobbi breaks down in tears.

This gets Bobbi really mad and angry and Bobbi walks over and raises her arm to slap her but Kelly stops her hand and pushes her to the ground. Bobbi lays on the ground moaning in pain while rubbing her belly and Amie runs over to help her up but she can’t as she grunts in pain. Amie calls a teacher to call an ambulance as blood trickles form under Bobbi’s skirt.

Act 3:

Bobbi gets in an ambulance and is worried for her babies’ sake. She’s laying in the hospital bed when a doctor comes in and tells her that she has lost the baby. She starts to sob silently to herself as Amy comes into the room , hearing the bad news Amy hugs her & says by her side, then Aimee asks about the father of the baby,  Bobbi looks up, as she feels that Bobbi can trust Amy, Bobbi tells her about when she was raped by one of the foster carers
